Known for his smoky, expressive, velvet-like vocals and dubbed as "The Duke of Jazz Noir", Bunny Sexton is a critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer – an avant-garde composer creating a musical cocktail mix of crossover jazz.

"As an artist, I've only ever written my own music", says Sexton. "I'm not interested in covering other jazz artists and paying tribute to the greats. They're already great; there's nothing more I could possibly add to what they've done. I've always been more fascinated with blazing my own trail and being an original artist rather than trying to recreate something from the past – how boring and unimaginative, at least for me.  Although, I do sometimes like, to what I call, 'organically sample' from a classic tune. You can hear an example of that on my song called 'We Call This Love', where I tastefully borrow a sample from Miles' So What".

After an 8 year contract under the EMI and Warner Bros. Music umbrellas, respectively, Sexton took a 4 year sabbatical from music, but is now returning independently with a compelling original collection of songs that will be released on CD and as singles and available on all digital platforms, iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify and more. Coming soon.

Sexton’s distinctive style has been a passport to sharing the stage with many great artists including, 2X GRAMMY® Winner John Clayton, Jeff Hamilton, GRAMMY® Nominee Anthony Wilson, GRAMMY® Nominee John Beasley’s Monk’estra, 5X GRAMMY® Winner Billy Childs, GRAMMY® Winner Bill Cunliffe, 3X GRAMMY® Winner John Daversa, to name a few, and has toured the globe performing on stages worldwide. His music has been licensed in film and television throughout Europe, Asia and America, including shows on HBO, NBC, TBS, Discovery Channel and Showtime, to name a few.

Along with long-time friend and world-renowned trumpeter, Bijon Watson (Michael Bublé, Diana Krall, the late Natalie Cole, The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Alicia Keys, Harry Connick Jr.), Sexton is the co-founder and co-producer of the popular Jazz Eclectic Concert Series that occurs regularly at The Smith Center of The Performing Arts in Las Vegas. As one of the coolest and most influential presenters of the new jazz age, The Jazz Eclectic Concert Series presents an eclectic blend of world renowned artists including GRAMMY® Award-Winning and GRAMMY® Nominees that embody originality. "Bijon and I are bringing jazz to the forefront of the mainstream market – that place where jazz and pop meet," explains Sexton. "For those with a low tolerance for jazz, we've taken a genre-bending approach, or what we call a Jazz Republic, eroding the boundaries between pop and jazz, writing and performing original music in a vocabulary that combines elements of both."

As a Record Producer, Sexton has been credited on many different records and has also collaborated with a variety of artists in genres ranging from jazz, country, electronic, and pop. Bunny Sexton's production team includes long-time friend, 6X GRAMMY® Award-Winner Bonzai Caruso (Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Damian Marley, Mary J. Blige, Puff Daddy, to name a few), co-producing and writing for major signed artists in the mainstream market.

Bunny Sexton and Bijon Watson recorded their new album with their band "The Method Men" at the legendary Palms Recording Studio in Las Vegas. The Palms has recorded such greats as John Legend, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Cardi B... and many more.

"We went in and recorded 9 songs in 11 hours", explains Sexton. "We wanted to record old-school and record live with the band and lay it down in no more than 2 takes per tune, and we did just that. It was important for us to capture the true emotion, magic and the live feel of the band. The Cats nailed it."

The CD will be available online and digitally  worldwide on iTunes, Amazon Music and more in mid March 2020. In the meantime, feel free to buy the album or individual songs digitally below exclusive through this website.
